About Me:
I’m currently trying to finish my master’s (MS) in Library Science from Helwan University, Faculty of Education at Cairo. Egypt.
On the application of Web 2.0 technologies in academic libraries (Library 2.0 in academic libraries) and work as Information Systems Specialist at Arabian Advanced Systems.
My specialty and passion is designing relevant and usable networking and collaboration tools around content such as books, articles, and related metadata (citations, abstracts, bibliographic records, Marc format etc.).
It’s nice to no longer have to explain what a blog is, since you probably know already, so I’ll use this space to tell you more about me. If you’re interested in how I banged WordPress into shape, please read about blog page.
I like to help people do that. I am also fiercely protective of losing what is special about libraries, and much of my work concerns this preservation issue in its many facets
My readership has become more attentive and more useful over the years. I’ve made friends with many of my readers and have a large circle of people known and unknown to me who help me out with links and encouragement.
Interest in:

Mohammad’s Philosophy of library 2.0 service:
At the library in the near future! One goal for the L2 library might be to restablish the idea of the commons – that shared space that can be many things to many people and everyone feels ownership. I’m sorry, but a sign stating the rules of the building on the front door is not encouraging. Find ways to make policies and guidlelines friendly…and welcoming.”
Libraries and librarians are faced with a technological and societal wave of change that is ever increasing as we move farther into the 21st century. Preparing new graduates to deal with constant change, use current and emerging technology tools to further the mission of their institutions, and meet the needs of communities of library users.
